In just 2 days with us, they:
:: Bought soil and plants for my garden as a gift
:: Visited a nursery with me and helped me pick fruit trees
:: Transformed my raised beds by removing summer plants and planting new stuff they bought, fixed all pots that needed attention, repotted my Tulsi, and set up a gorgeous set of Monstera in large red pots for my entrance
:: Helped re-arrange my living room furniture that I had been struggling with for so long
:: Taught my son how to cook a simple Indian meal
:: Chatted with my daughter about her career aspirations and priorities
:: Helped me in the kitchen with all meals and cleanup every single time
:: Went on walks with me
:: Lived with me as family
They are so inspiring and hard working. AND so loving and caring. And givers!!
They truly make me believe in the sentiment…..

Your Chicago friends are unbelievably great. If they can get a teenage son to learn to cook a meal, then they are wizards. If they can do THAT, they can pretty much do anything :)
I am SO blessed to have their paths cross with me. We made a choice to distance myself from my core local group post Covid, and there was an uncomfortable void in our social circle for about a year. And then I found them, along with a few other friends who are not only close to me, but are aligned in terms of value system and priorities in life. What a blessing!!
